• Customers of Web Technik are entitled to a free listing. That includings customers who have a paid banner or home-page advertisment. It excludes sites unconnected with Sheffield and the surrounding regions of South Yorkshire, Derbyshire.
• Some links are provided free on the basis of their likely value to visitors to sheffield.co.uk Examples are museums and similar major attractions.
• Websites should demonstrate a distinct connection with or relevance to Sheffield and a perceived usefulness to visitors to Sheffield.co.uk
• Links to charitable, non-profit or personal non-commercial informational sites will be provided at our discretion.
• Links to organisations without a Sheffield postal address will be added exceptionally if they provide a service relating directly to Sheffield (examples are national Cinema and Theatre listings sites which provide specific and current links to Sheffield venues and perfomances)
• For free listings we will pay greater attention to quality of design/value of content and we require a link back from the target web site

Your listing WILL be rejected if:

• Sites promoting what we regard as dubious products or services e.g. "get rich quick" schemes.
• Sites carrying excessive paid-for advertising links.
• Sites with prominent or extensive links to other websites which would not themselves be accepted for listing will not be listed.

Additional notes:

• We favour sites which provide a link back to ourselves. You should bear in mind that Google and possibly other search engines are now believed to give higher rankings in search results to sites which include links to other good quality websites.
• We take no responsibility for and give no undertaking as to the legality or good taste of the content of linked sites but we will not knowingly provide links to any offensive material. We will remove any offending items drawn to our attention.
• We reserve the right to reject requests for listing and to withdraw a paid-for listing without compensation should it come to our notice that it breaches the above requirements.
• We reserve the right to reject requests for listing or to withdraw a "free" listing entirely at our own discretion and without notice.
• Please ensure that your website works correctly with the Firefox web browser - used by an estimated 20% of internet user.
• A condition of listing here is that your email address will be added to our mailing list. We will not send more than 12 small mailings a year. Rejection of the email messages will be taken as an instruction that you no longer wish to be listed on this website.
